The chief editior, Adrian Hadland, is a chief research specialist in the democracy and governance research program of the Human Sciences Research Council and has worked for a number of South African and international news organizations, including the Cape Argus. He is the author of Changing the Fourth EstateEric Louw is director of communication programs at the University of Queensland's School of Journalism and Communication. Simphiwe Sesanti is a lecturer in the Department of Journalism at the University of Stellenbosch. Herman Wasserman teaches media, communication, and cultural studies at the University of Newcastle and is associate professor extraordinary in the department of journalism at the University of Stellenbosch. He is editor of the journal Ecquid Novi: African Journalism Studies.
