Imphepho (South African Sage)
Imphepho, also known as kooigoed, is a traditional herb found only in South Africa. In its ritual use in South Africa, Imphepho is believed to invoke and placate the ancestors and to drive away malicious spirits - regarded as common causes of illness in African Traditional Medicine.
