I was truly amazed at how powerful this green laser is during the day, but especially at night. You can clearly see a visible, solid beam at night, that throws a bright green dot on the clouds. The freakin' clouds! But it can go much further than that. When you point to stars, it looks as though the beam goes on forever. That being said, DO NOT point this at aeroplanes at night! And even more so, DO NOT point it at people's eyes, day or night! That includes yourself, so beware of reflective objects that might reflect the beam back into your eyes.

I found that normal alkaline batteries work best, although I would recommend that you buy the "better" ones, like Energizer. Rechargeables on the other hand, last longer, but the beam is not as bright with them as the voltage is slightly lower than alkaline batteries.

Also, I know it may seem obvious, but please do not drop the laser. It most probably won't break, but it might damage the "insides". If you can, try to attach a wrist strap to the laser to avoid accidents.
