ORIGINAL VINTAGE PRE-WAR WATERCOLOR ETCHING (COLORED BY HAND) OF ALTER MARKT - SIGNED+TITLED in pencil
This is a RARE Pre 1939 Hand Colored Original Etching of - "ALTER MARKT" in Kiel, Germany. It is titled and signed by the Artist in Pencil. Also in Pencil is -- ORIG. RAD. ..... this is an abbreviation in German for - ORIGINAL ETCHING
Although everything as seen on the etching was destroyed completely during WW2 (Kiel in Germany was a major Submarine Base for U-Boats), the square still exists today and is still named Alter Markt Square. The church however and the buildings as seen in the etching were not rebuilt as they were before

At the bottom of the Etching in Pencil is.... "Kiel, Alter Markt, Orig. Rad. " followed by the artists signature
