This beautiful coin was struck in 1994 to commemorate the first truly democratic elections in South Africa and the inauguration of President Nelson Mandela in the same year.

It depicts the union buildings in Pretoria, where the office of the president is located in our great nations capital, and was designed by S. Erasmus.

These are some of the worlds fastest appreciating coins, and are sought after world wide as collectors items and indeed investments. The value of these coins have skyrocketed over the last three years. I am starting this auction at only R25 - AMAZING, I KNOW!

This particular specimen is a very attractive uncirculated coin with no visible scratches or bag marks with the exception of a small scratch visable above the right wing of the union buildings, overall an extremely attractive coin. This would be a fine addition to any serious collection and not to mention quite a conversation piece! The coin has clearly never been polished.
