Each coin in this series, 38 in total, will only be minted for a period of 6 weeks by the USA Mint.  

Here is your change to start this unique collection.

The United States is honoring the Nation's presidents by issuing $1 circulating coins featuring their images in the order that they served.  The USA Mint will mint and issue 4 Presidential $1 coins per year, starting with the first President George Washington.  

A total of 38 Presidents will be honored from 2007 to 2016.

The edge lettering will move to the obverse and reverse as by new US Government bill

The US Government has decided to put a halt to edge incused lettering. Those released with edge lettering are now regarded treasured collectors' coins.

These first 3 presidential dollars will therefore be the only coins in the 38 coin collection with edge lettering
