Pressure Guard is a simple cap that replaces the old dust cap on your tyres
which enables you to check at a glance if your tyre has lost any pressure.
They are easy to activate, easy to use, and reusable over and over again!
Pressure Guard adapts to all standard tyres whether car or motor bike.
It adapts to all tyre pressures from 1.4 to 3 bars.
It carries German TUV certification and over 20 million sets have already been sold!
Driving with under inflated tyres can be very dangerous and costly.
Insufficient tyre pressure impairs the handling of the car.
Under inflated tyres increase fuel consumption and reduce tyre life.
The Pressure Guard caps have a patented mechanical operation.
Once the cap is screwed on the valve of the tire, the mechanism “memorizes”
the pressure of inflation. Consequently, the minimum loss of pressure (loss of 0,2 bar)
starts the internal mechanism, causing a drop of the green indicators. The red indicator
will remain visible as long as a loss of pressure is present. Only an increase of
pressure can make it return to normal. Following this principle, the Pressure Guard
system adapts to any pressure.
One in four of your tyres could be under inflated and cars with badly inflated tyres
could be wasting over R4500.00 per year. Under pressure? An under inflated tyre can also
increase your fuel consumption by over 15% and even a tiny amount of air loss (0.1bar)
reduces tyre life by around 1600kms. Severe under inflation can reduce tyre life by a
dramatic 50% but if correctly inflated the average tyre could last 20% longer.
The 2001 National Tyre Distributor Association (NTDA) survey of 40,000 tyres showed that
90% of tyre pressures were incorrect, contributing to over 14,000 accidents a year and
hundreds of thousands of car breakdowns, these innovative little gadgets could save your life.
A summary from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the USA
reported that Pressure Guard was responsible for the following estimated savings per year:
720 Lives
28 000 Injuries
260 000 Accidents
21 Million barrels of oil per year
$2.2bn in Petrol & Tyres.
