So I will be able to make phone calls and use the data features?
Yes, as long as your provider is using standard GSM. The Visual Voicemail feature from AT&T will not be available on any other network but the normal (dial in) voicemail should work absolutely fine. Also, you may need to edit the phone settings to reflect the specific settings recommended by your provider for data usage/web browsing. They can assist you with this.
Will the iPhone work in my country with my phone provider?
Yes. If your phone uses GSM technology meaning that it uses SIM cards then you are good to go. This is the worldwide standard however certain networks are not compatible. CDMA and FOMA users will likely not be able to use the iPhone on their network. These networks are mostly used in the USA and Japan. Almost all of Europe uses GSM. Yes. Visual Voice mail (exclusive to AT&T) is the only known exception, all features currently available on locked phones will be available on unlocked phones. You may need to call you provider once you get your unlocked iPhone to enter in the internet settings of your particular network before you can browse the internet.
