Light rubbing to head and heel of spine. Small scuff mark to top edge of rear panel. Lower corners rubbed. Boards seem reasonably intact, protected by cover taped in place on the pastedown, front and back (partly detached here). Small scuff mark to top edge. Top edge of front free endpaper heavily eroded. Previous owner name in pen. Apart from a couple of insignificant small brown stains in the margins the text block is clean: no foxing, no underlining or highlighting, no annotations or marginalia. Securely bound, no loose or missing pages, no tears.

Jacket protected by adhesive plastic wrapping. Faint dampstain to lower edge; cover age-toned around the edges, with a couple of other small brown markings or stains. Top edge of cover somewhat eroded, with a couple of closed tears and small chips. Small tears and chipping at heel of spine. Unclipped.
