Priest's Eggs of Southern African Birds

This book has long been out of print, however and the need for a REVISED edition was widely recognised. The undertaking was the more urgent since knowledge of eggs and breeding habits of Southern African birds has increased considerably in the past 2 decades. A nest card record system instituted in 1952 by the South African Ornithological Society was a portentous event; to date, the collection comprises some50 000 records. To digest this mass of data, and additional material contained in learned papers, authority and expertise were essential.
