This Compass, apart from a few obvious paint chips, is in absolutely perfect condition and working order.
Its fluid (alcohol?) is intact so too is the radium paint (for night time use) on the lid and it has a fascinating history,
having been used in 1959 to conduct geological survey of the now famous Kao (Basutoland) diamond mine.
The winning bidder will get the whole story.
