Prisoners of War (Hatufim) is a challenging and powerful drama following three Israeli soldiers, captured seventeen years ago while on a secret mission with their unit. Two soldiers are finally released from captivity and the series explores their reintegration into Israeli society on a national and a personal level. The second series starts where series one ended - Nimrode and Uri continue to pick up the pieces of their lives, but are now shocked to discover that Amiel Ben Horin is alive and living as a Muslim in Syria.
The two contact Haim and implore him to investigate. Has Amiel been turned? Has he joined the terrorist organisation that kidnapped and held them for 17 years?
All the while, Amiel is torn between his allegiance to family and homeland and a chance to live a new free life.
