It has been hailed as the king of football games for a while now but does PES 6 have enough new content to maintain its rule? As with all the previous PES versions that came before this one; the real feature is its control system and impressive AI. The control system is as slick as always, making new trick moves and player control that much more, well, slick! On-field maneuvers like shielding the ball and dribbling have become slightly easier with a greater variety of moves available. Your teammates run (intelligently!) into space and your opposing team's pro strikers make putting balls through a real challenge. Opposition players are tougher with iron-clad defenses. So there it is; slick passing maneuvers combined with great dribbling variations and heaps of new control make total game play a delight. This is what made PES and this is what keeps it at the top of the football game hierarchy. The multiplayer modes have been upgraded with internet and network play much easier to set up. The number of league licenses has also expanded. PES 6 still has the best control and game play system but FIFA's latest offering is not that far behind.
