FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I use the unit to scan for an intermittent malfunction indicator lamp? Yes, to have this single scan at a mechanics will cost about 60 Euros, so this is something you can do yourself and save a bit of money.
Do I need to have my car running while performing diagnostics? Not always, just your ignition turned on, but read the instruction manual first. For real time data stream diagnostics e.g. BMWs post 2001, have the engine running.
I am not familiar with car mechanics, will it be simple for someone like me to diagnose my own car? You can always get advice from your favorite uncle, but following the instruction manual and doing some research about how to perform diagnose will help make it simple and understand some of the mechanical terminologies.
