Bees coat almost everything in the hive with Propolis to protect themselves from disease. If a small stone or anything foreign gets in there, they will coat it with the Propolis and would be invisible to the human eye.
Propolis is very sticky when warm(like tar) and hard(like glass) when cold. Keep refrigerated to be able to break off pieces!!
We use a special propolis trap built into the hive to harvest our propolis. This propolis is not scraped from the hive or hive parts(clean).
