About DYNASTY WARRIORS 7 XTREME LEGENDS:
Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends is a Beat 'em up video game and the seventh official installment of the Dynasty Warriors series. It is a stand-alone expansion that super-charges the Dynastsy Warriors 7 world with features such as Legend Mode and Challenge Mode as well as three new playable generals. It was developed by Omega Force and published by Koei. The game was released internationally on November 2011 and sold 253,900 copies in the first week of its release.
Xtreme Legends features brand new characters Guo Jia & Wang Yi as well as returning hero Pang De bolster, the ranks of Wei kingdom. Secret weapons can be unlocked by fulfilling certain conditions in the game. New weapon types are added to your armory and weapons such as the Dragon Spear, Sai, Battling Stick & Scimitar will further increase the variety of ways players can decimate opposing armies. Newly implemented Legend Mode allows players to tackle battles from both the past Dynasty Warriors series and brand new scenarios with all their favorite characters. In addition, players are able to make their castle town prosper and also employ a lieutenant from their favorite military commander. The lieutenant affects how the castle-town flourish in many different ways. Challenge Mode allows players to tackle various missions that allow them to fight for world-wide rankings. This mode is backed up with online leader boards which allow players to fight for the world no. 1 spot in the Dynasty Warriors universe. With the "Mixjoy" game the player will be able to experience a powered-up version of the original Dynasty Warriors 7 Story Mode and Conquest Mode, by reading in the original Dynasty Warriors 7 disc. Extreme Legends also includes a Japanese voice-over option.
Famitsu magazine awarded the game a total of 36/40, composed of a 9/9/9/9 score and considered it to be a great improvement over previous titles.
