Resistance 3 is a 2011 science fiction post-apocalyptic horror first-person shooter developed by Insomniac Games exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is the third title in the Resistance series and was announced by Insominiac as the final game in the series. Resistance 3 is the first in the series to support 3D and PlayStation Move and the first to introduce the PSN Pass program.
Resistance 3 has received positive reviews from most critics, aggregating review websites GameRankings and Metacritic gave the game an aggregate score of 84.52% and 83/100 respectively. X-Play gave it a perfect 5/5. IGN gave the game a 9/10, saying, "In terms of tone, Insomniac has really amped up the gut-wrenching terror for Resistance 3. This is the darkest and most violent game in the series, and almost the entire second act of the game will have you on the edge of your seat."

Official Xbox Magazine gave the game a 9.5. Game Informer's Andrew Reiner gave Dead Space 2 a 9/10, calling it a "monster of a sequel".
