Rugby World Cup 2011 is a rugby union video game developed by HB Studios and 505 Games. The game is the official video game of the 2011 Rugby World Cup and was released on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 2011.
Rugby World Cup 2011 features four game modes: Tournament Mode, International Test, Warm-up Tour and Placekick Shootout. The game features all twenty international teams competing in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. However, only ten of the teams are officially licensed. Licensed teams include Argentina, Canada, England, France, Ireland, Scotland, South Africa, United States, Wales and Italy. Unlicensed teams are Fiji, Georgia, Japan, Namibia, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, Samoa, Australia and Tonga. Amongst licensed stadiums are Millennium Stadium, Murrayfield and Twickenham. Unlicensed stadiums include "Auckland" (Eden Park), "Buenos Aires" (Estadio José Amalfitani), "Christchurch" (Lancaster Park), "Dublin" (Aviva Stadium), "Johannesburg" (Ellis Park), "Napier" (McLean Park), "Paris" (Stade de France), "Rugby Park" (Invercargill), "South Pacific" (generic stadium), "Sydney" (Stadium Australia) and "Wellington" (Westpac Stadium). All other official stadiums of the 2011 Rugby World Cup are included in the game, but only appear in the official tournament mode.
