Botanical name: Dipteryx odorata

Our tonka bean absolute oil is extracted from the dried seeds of the tree Dipteryx odorata (a.k.a dried tonka beans) originating from Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. A solvent extraction is used to preserve a wide spectrum of aromas. 

This absolute oil is being used primarily in perfumery and fragrancing

It blends with Amber Oil (Fossilized), Ambrette Seed, Bergamot and other Citrus oils, Butter CO2, Carnation, Cinnamon, Citronella, Clary Sage, Clove, Coconut, Hay, Helichrysum, Jasmine, Lavandin, Lavender, Liquidambar (Styrax), Neroli, Oakmoss, Orange Blossom, Orris, Osmanthus, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Tobacco, Ylang Ylang, Vanilla or Sandalwood 

As with most oils it is soluble in alcohol, insoluble in water.
