A truly purple pepper! This open pollinated sweet bell pepper features compact plants with meaty, thick-fleshed, sweet, purple fruit.

Peppers start out green but change to purple before fruit matures, thus adding color to your garden early in the season. Fruits are blocky and 7.5cm to 10cm long with 3 or 4 lobes. They are highly productive compact sturdy plants. The fruit have a tender crisp texture and mild sweet flavor. This is an interesting novelty to add texture and color to your salads and cooking. It is also great for stuffing. It takes 70 days to mature from the date of transplanting. It holds in the purple stage for some time, before ripening to a deep purple-red.
