Purple passion fruit is a prolific grower and produces fruit within the first 9 months. Each vine can produce up to 200 fruit per season. My current vine from which these seeds were harvested has more than 180 fruit on it currently and that after only 7 months.
Soak seeds in purified water for at least 72 hours before planting. Plant in seedling trays and place in a warm area to germinate. Passion fruit likes temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees.
Once plants have reached at least 10cm and the weather is warm enough, transplant to their final location into holes prepared with a compost mixture at the bottom.
Spacing is crucial and plants should be kept at least 5 to 10m apart. Passion fruit is a vine and needs a fence or trellis to grow onto.
Minimum of 15 seeds per pack
All seeds are tested and grown on our farm in Malawi and our growing area in South Africa. Please check conditions in your area for the type of seed to be grown. Growth rates and germination times are dependent on many factors such as soil conditions, rainfall/watering patterns, climate, and many more.
Growth and harvest can be affected by these conditions. Please note that certain countries require specific permission to grow certain plants or ban their growth completely. Please check your local regulations before purchasing products.
We will not be held responsible for products purchased that are not allowed in your country/province
