A stunning vintage 1950's Pygmalion Globe powder compact.  This is a fantastic powder compact and a known book piece.  These type of compacts are known as novelty compacts.  Here we have a superb example of the Pygmalion Globe compact.  It sits perfectly on a flattened base and has an engraved map of the world on its brass body.
