Pyrite Suns: Nature's Golden Discs!

Size:  80mm x 72mm x 7mm Approximately
Weight:  116 gram
Discover the captivating beauty of Pyrite Suns, also known as Pyrite Dollars or Miner's Dollars. While they may resemble fossilized plants, these striking round disks are actually natural pyrite crystal formations created under immense pressure around 350 million years ago. Typically found between seams of coal, they are a rare geological treasure unique to Illinois.
Composed of iron sulfide, or pyritic sulfur (often called Fool's Gold), these radiant disks were unearthed near Sparta, Illinois, in Randolph County. Their metallic luster and intricate sunburst pattern make Pyrite Suns a must-have for collectors and geology enthusiasts alike.
