Pz. Kpfw.VI Tiger 1 1/56 Scale Italeri 25755

The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I is certainly one of the most famous tanks of World War II. It was developed to equip the Wehrmacht's armoured divisions of a heavily armored and heavily armed tank to be flanked by the most popular Panzer III and Panzer IV medium tanks no longer able to effectively counter opposing tanks. The main armament was the famous and lethal long-barred KwK 36 L/56 88 mm long-barre cannon.

Installed in the turret and protected by a heavy shielding of 120 mm. was able to drill, even at a long distance, the armor of any enemy vehicle of the time. He was employed on all major operational theatres and actively participated in German military operations in Normandy and on the Western Front. Although conditioned by reliability and use problems, the heavy tank, in the hands of experienced crews, was always extremely feared by the allied forces.
