This is an original Qing Dynasty (18501911) Hetian jade hat ornament, hand-carved using an intricate multi-layer openwork technique into a floral bloom. Two small holes on the reverse were used to stitch the piece onto official or casual hats in ancient China.
The jade displays a warm, lustrous patina with natural aged brownish inclusions (lao qin), evidence of genuine age. The carving lines are smooth and rounded, typical of folk jadework of the period. A couple of fine old hairline cracks (lao liu) are visible, reflecting its centuries-long history and adding to its authentic antique character.
Overall condition is good. Suitable for antique jade collection, jewelry remounting, or as a rare conversation piece. A genuine Chinese folk jade artifact with no modern repairs.
NOTE : ITEM IS SECOND-HAND AND WILL DISPLAY SIGNS OF AGE-RELATED SURFACE WEAR DUE TO HANDLING.
PIECE IS SOLD "AS IS" IN PRESENT STATE OF CONDITION .
The ideal addition to any Chinese antique Hetian jade hat ornament collection or display
