QSA with clasps CC, Wepener, Witt, Belf to Cpl R K Duffy, Brabants Horse; WWI Pair to Sgt R K O Duffy, 7th SA Horse.

During WWI, while initially serving with the 5th SA Horse, Duffy was slightly wounded in action on 11 August 1916, in the aftermath of the actions when the German resistance was broken at Matamondo (east of Nguru Mountains, East Africa)
