QUALITY STREET a comedy in four Acts - JM Barrie

Hodder & Stoughton, no date but a little research has revealed that this is a first trade edition published in 1913.

Now this book is something quite special. It is a large hardcover with blue cloth boards and gilt titling. The boards are extremely decorative and the gilt is still bright. There is a tear to the boards on the side of the spine - please see pic.

There are 22 stunning tipped in colour plates - beautifully executed by Hugh Thomson, each with thick tissue guards. A really very special first edition - slightly hinged but still strongly bound. This is a book that does not come up for auction often, especially in this country.
