Queen of the street

This is the 'Queen of the street.'

My name is Stephen Scott, and you are viewing my original painting, "Queen of the stree", done with oils on gesso'ed masonite. The painting was done in the studio from a photo taken on the streets of Cape Town. She's old and street weathered, but she commanded the other vendors with a matricarcal authority worthy of the title 'Queen.'

This painting is 180mm x 150mm and signed. The buyer will receive the painting safely packaged and ready to frame.

A short bit about myself - I grew up living in Pretoria before moving to Cape Town. As a child I always had a pencil in my hand and art was natural for me. While art is not my fulltime career, it certainly is my passion. My paintings have sold to mainly Cape Town based patrons while the odd painting has made it as far as Washington DC.
