The ¼ inch Foot is designed to help you achieve a perfect ¼ inch (6mm) seam when piecing. The needle hole in the foot is perfectly round. The distance between the center needle position and the guide is exactly ¼ (6mm).

The ¼ inch Foot is also wonderful for top stitching. Use the guide to place your stitching exactly where you want it on your blocks, garments or home decor projects.

The guide on the foot enables you to sew a perfect 1/4 inch seam every time. The guide can also be used wherever a 1/4 inch seam is called for but the markings on the needle plate cannot be used, such as when completing a flat seam.
