Quinette was born in Bloemfontein, grew up in George and currently living in the tranquillity of Hartbeespoort.

At the age of 36, She decided to exchange the corporate world for the world of creativity. Quinette started painting fulltime and developed her own personal style as a self-taught artist.

She specializes in painting in oils. Her scope of subjects cover realistic nudes in monochrome and her latest works are vibrant and colourful close-up portraits of people with layers of paint and bold sweeps of palette knife. Viewers of her portraits are often intrigued by her remarkable way of portraying eyes.
