RARE VINTAGE SILVER PLATED QUIST, WEST GERMAN FISH TRINKET/RING BOX 60's to 70's
A Rare collectors item manufactured by FW QUIST , a German company founded by Jacob Schweizer in 1866 in Stuttgart.
Friedrich Wilhelm Quist (1831-1903) became director of the Actien-Plaqué factory and moved from Stuttgart to Esslingen in 1885.
Friedrich Wilhelm Quist handed over the company to his sons, Edmund and Fritz Quist, no later than 1899. Fritz Quist's three sons Hans, Werner and Walter all worked for the company as well. Hans and Walter were mainly active in foreign countries. From the 1930s onwards, Werner was increasingly involved with management in Esslingen and took over the company management in 1951 alone. The company was transformed into a KG in 1959. In 1965, Gerd Quist joined the company management, which was now in the hands of the Quist family in the fourth generation. Quist succeeded in buying up more than a quarter of the WMF shares between 1965 and 1971,
Individual design objects from the 1960s and 1970s later became collectors' items.
This item is extremely rare and cannot even be found on the internet. It is a "individual design" object manufactured/made by either EUGEN STEGMAIER or OSWALD PORNER, and the item would be UNIQUE
The item is stamped on the inside of the Lid -- "QUIST, W GERMANY"
PERFECT condition with NO patina, rust, scratches, damages or breakages
