R A R E !! ANTIQUE ROBT SORBY 3 CROWN KANGAROO CAST STEEL PANEL SAW WITH OPEN HANDLE, NIB.

A very rare Robert Sorby panel saw with an open handle. I can only find on the internet Sorby steel or brass backed saws with a similar handle. The blade, with 6 teeth to the inch, is approximately 3/4 inch at the toe and 2 3/4inches  at the heel. The nib is set 1 1/2 inches back from the toe. The blade is clearly stamped with the Robt Sorby Trade Mark Kangaroo, and also 3 Crowns, probably indicating first half of the 19th Century. The lower horn of the handle has been sawn off.
