Up for auction is a beautiful 5 RAND REPLACEMENT BANKNOTE in CRISP UNCIRCULATED CONDITION, from South Africa. It is undated but comes from 1978 and was signed by T.W. de Jongh who was the Governor of the South African Reserve Bank at that time.
It is the English over Afrikaans variety and bears the Number X3 702364. These Replacement notes were issued in place of misprinted notes that had to be destroyed. That means these Replacement notes were quite scarce as their numbers were substantially less than the usual notes. As they were issued for circulation not many were collected in quality condition.
I will be happy to combine shipping with other banknotes, but not together with a coin/s. Combined shipping will not be done at a cost to the buyer. Only weight will determine a higher shipping charge.
As always grading is not an absolute but a subjective view of a Numismatic item. Fortunately crisp Uncirculated notes are fairly easy to grade.
Thank you for your interest and enjoy bidorbuying.
