It is a round bright scarlet radish with white flesh that stays crisp and delicious without becoming pithy, even at golf ball size. Ready 28 days after sowing. Thrives in cool weather. Make successive plantings every 2 weeks until late spring, then again a month before frost. Radishes are suggested as an alternative treatment for a variety of ailments including whooping cough, cancer, coughs, gastric discomfort, liver problems, constipation, dyspepsia, gallbladder problems, arthritis, gallstones, kidney stones and intestinal parasites.
