The blue boards with gilt titling and RLI badge stamped to the front are clean, square and solid. Internally, a typed compliment slip of the Rand Light Infantry Regimental Council is pasted to the half title page. The reverse of this page contains the signature of Major Simpkins, and the details of a previous owner in pen. The pages are clean and unmarked, and the fold-out maps present and intact.
