LOVELY RARE ANTIQUE AFRICANA STORY BOOK.

Metelerkamp provides an interesting collection of the folklore of South Africa in this unique volume first published in 1914. Illustrations by Constance Penstone and printed by Macmillan and co. London 1914.

First Edition. Original pale blue pictorial cloth, reasonable condition. Text pages clean, not very much age marks Owner's name written on empty pages and on page 1 after the glossary.  The empty pages with the owner's name is not needed and can be glued on to the hardback to make the book's binding look better too. The hardback cover is coming a bit loose at the spine. With a small bit of professional repairing, this book can be restored to near good condition.  Copy of same book is R550 on Clarke's books.
