The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION-Kerosene Lamp appears complete & present, with detailed fittings. Item remains in a Good State of preservation and has been utilised. Appropriate Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Metallic vessel is structurally sound with all necessary parts, and original glass panel. Carry-handle is intact , and piece features all brass model & issue plates. Item is Second-Hand.

An EXCELLENT example of a RARE,  1920s Kerosene SA Railways Metallic Carriage Lamp w/ Fittings. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state of preservation , with detailed fittings on  obverse and reverse. All brass lozenges are present, denoting model nomenclature and S.A.R. issue. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. A degree of verdigris/ toning may be noted throughout the vessel. A few areas of 'contact rust' will be present in portions subject to excessive handling. The original glass pane remains intact w/ a few elements of crazing. Internal reflective panel w/ stabilizing plate is intact with the wick mount. 

This piece would have been issued to SA Railways & Harbours personnel, subject to duties within Government Transport facilities - as well as - when stationed on Railway Engines / Transport Craft.
