An extremely rare miniature copy of The Star newspaper dated Friday 28 August 1936 printed on glossy paper in a complimentary Art Deco style folder, it is an actual copy of the newspaper of that date with 32 pages and can be read with a magnifying glass. It was probably published to mark the 50th Anniversary of Johannesburg and the Empire Exhibition. The mini newspaper measures 13 x 17 cms and is in excellent condition, it contains advertisements for Art Deco furniture and fashion and wonderful news items on Stalin, the Spanish Civil War and more.
