Planchet remains in a Fair State and has been subject to augmentation via termination. Signs of Wear evident due to handling - with areas of high Relief appearing 'worn' or subdued. Surface toning may be noted. Coin has been circulated at some point intime. Item is Second-Hand. NOT LEGAL TENDER.

An EXCELLENT example of a RARE,  1930s Portuguese Colonial .650 Silver Moçambique 5 Escudo Coin. This piece appears to be in a G/AG state of preservation, with detailed Graphic Relief on  obverse and reverse. All insignia/ nomenclature present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Areas of high Relief will appear subdued or 'worn'.  Toning may be noted throughout. This item has been subject to termination - in which a suspension port or hole has been drilled through the planchet. No longer legal tender.

This piece would have been issued by the Portuguese Colonial Government for circulation as common currency. Augmentation has been privately conducted.
