The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Helmet appears in good order. Applied Graphic Design Relief is present and detailed.Insignia remains in a Good State and piece has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Internal liner suspension system is intact (  central rubber absorption pad has expired). Webbing retention chin-strap is complete w/ buckle. All necessary Date & Model markings are present. Item is Second-Hand.

An EXCELLENT example of a  British South Africa Police, 1960s Fibreglass Riot Helmet w/ Liner & Webbing Chin-Strap. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state of preservation, with detailed Graphic Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Surface paint will display areas of wear / scuff marks. Internal suspension liner system is intact - save for the rubber absorption pad which has expired due to age. Webbing chin-strap is complete w/ adjustable buckle. All internal markings are legible. 

This piece would have been utilised by members of the BSAP , who were performing Riot Control duties or assisting with civil emergency situations.
