The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Bedding Roll system is present and detailed with all straps and associated fittings.Item remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Appropriate Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Material appears in good order - NOTE : Small Hole present on right-hand side lower segment. Adjustment Zipper in full working order. All manufacturers and date stamps are present. Item extends and folds up as intended.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1960s SADF Officer's Green  Bedding Roll w/ Zipper Closure . This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with all adjustment straps and metallic fittings in good order. All Zipper closures present and function when engaged. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Piece has  been subjected to field usage - and saw issue into the mid-1970s. Webbing material appears in good order , with a small hole evident in the lower Right-hand side portion of the lower segment. The original cold-weather Wool lining is present and intact. Bedding Roll system folds up well , and secures with straps. 

This piece would have been utilised by Commissioned Officer's of the SA Defence Force from the 1960s up until the mid-1970s. The system , was designed to facilitate ease and comfort - in conjunction with the placement of an internal sleeping bag if necessary. 

The ideal addition to any SADF/ SWATF  Border War Era personal  kit collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
