An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, 1970s Australian Special Air Service, Bi-Metal Beret Badge w/ Retention Slide. This piece appears to be in a VF state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Surface finish will display some degree of toning. Retention slide is securely mounted and complete.

This piece would have been worn with the standard Australian S.A.S Beret during the mid-1970s, by qualified members of the Unit as part of their Uniform attire.
