An EXCELLENT example of  RARE, 1980/82  Great Britain QEII New Penny / New Half-Penny Coins (UNCIRCULATED). These pieces appear to be in a VF/XF state of preservation , with detailed Graphic Design Relief on  obverse and reverse. All nomenclature / detailing present.Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Toning may be visible. Planchet for each coin is complete and both pieces are uncirculated. Items are Second-Hand. 

The New Penny & New Half-Penny were introduced in early 1979 /  1980 as part of British National Currency reforms (1971-1981). These new denominations were minted at Llantrisant in Wales - and were subsequently withdrawn from circulation by 1983. 

These pieces are NO LONGER LEGAL TENDER - and would have been issued by the British Government  as currency for circulation.
