An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, 1980s British Special Air Service , Unit Embroidered Beret Badge. This piece appears to be in a VF+ state , with detailed Embroidered on  obverse. All insignia present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Unit design features the Winged 'Excalibur' and legend : ' Who Dares Wins '. Felt Material remains in good condition, with no visible defects. Piece has been handled, yet remains un-mounted. 

This Badge would have been worn by members of the British Special Air Service, with the issued Sand-coloured Beret from the mid-1980s until the early 1990s. 

The S.A.S were formed during World War II - by Major David Stirling, and intended for clandestine and covert combat operations. This Unit - has served as the predecessor of all Modern Elite & Special Forces Regiments around the world.
