An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, 1980s Australian Special Air Service, Bronze Metallic HALO Parachute Wing Qualification Badge. This piece appears to be in a VF + state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Some degree of surface toning will be noted. All retention lugs are intact. Inventory sticker is present - as piece was part of a large private collection.
This piece would have been issued to members of the Australian S.A.S - who had successfully completed the ( HALO) High Altitude Low Opening Parachutist course qualification requirement.
