An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF 5.56mm R4 / Galil Steel 50 Round Magazine in Nutria finish. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Nutria Camouflage Paint Relief on obverse and reverse. All functional parts and mechanisms appear present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Item has been utilised in Combat Conditions. Military date stamp is evident at Magazine base. Spring and follower both depress when engaged. Floor plate is secure.
This piece would have been issued as a single Magazine to SADF / SWATF personnel - serving as the initial Ammunition source when in a combat zone. All other standard Magazines 30 Round , would have served as replacement thereafter.
