The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Badge Graphic Design Relief is present and detailed.Insignia remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Piece is ex-Mount , with retention slide having been removed. Item is Second-Hand.

An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, 1980s British Special Air Service, Bronze Metallic Beret Badge (No Slide). This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Some degree of surface toning/ verdigris may be visible. Item is ex-Mount and has had the Retention Slide at rear removed at some point in time. 

This piece would have been utilised by members of the British Special Air Service, for wear with the Unit issued Beret headgear.

The S.A.S were formed during World War II- by Major David Stirling, as a force intended for clandestine & covert military operations. This Unit served as the predecessor of all Modern Special Forces & Elite Regiments around the world.
