Minimal Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Stitching appears correct and in good order. Felt Material is complete and intact with rear panel. Pigmentation is good - little to no fading observed. Item is Second-Hand, formerly part of a large private collection.

An EXCELLENT example of a RARE , 1980s British Special Air Service, Padded & Embroidered Parachute Qualification Wing Badge. This piece appears to be in a VF+  state , with detailed embroideed Graphic Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Stitching is intact & appears period correct with reverse supporting panel at rear. All internal padding is intact , with thread retaining good pigmentation. 

This Insignia, would have been worn by members of the British Special Air Service, who had successfully completed the Patachute Qualification course requirement. 

The S.A.S was formed during World War II- by Major David Stirling, as a Unit that could carry out covert & clandestine combat operations. This Regiment has served as the predecessor of all Modern Elite & Special Forces formations around the world.
