An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF - 32 Battalion 'Wet Season' Camouflage Rucksack w/ Integral Lightweight Frame. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Camouflage Design Relief on obverse and reverse. All additional fittings appear present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Cordura Nylon Material remains in good order- and is intact. Pigmentation and pattern of camouflage is defined. All metallic / barrel adjustable fittings & velcro tabs are complete & functional. The Rucksack has been securely mounted to the lightweight metallic frame. Shoulder harnesses are complete , alongside the securing waistband.
This piece has been inscribed by the original owner in felt marker pen on the closure flap. The Camouflage Rucksack would have been utilised by members of 32 Battalion from the mid-to late 1980s in the Operational Area (SWA/Angola) ; for long-range reconnaissance patrols behind the frontlines.
