An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF Unofficial 44 Parachute Brigade Nutria Test Jumpers Qualification Badge. This piece appears to be in a VF+ state , with detailed Embroidered Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Some slight surface wear to be noted on lower merrowed edging. All insignia is detailed with good pigmentation. Original felt backing panel is complete. Item is ex-Mount.

This piece was a Unofficial example of Unit- level Qualification Insignia , that had been commissioned by Unit Commanders  - but not sanctioned for wear by the SADF Headquarters.
